Update on the Monroe County Climate Action Plan
Join us as we hear from Madison Quinn, Sustainability Coordinator for Monroe County. Monroe County adopted Phase I of its Climate Action Plan (CAP) in 2022, focusing on internal government operations, and establishing a baseline greenhouse gas emissions inventory with targets for reductions. In 2024, CAP Phase II was launched to include the wider community, including transportation infrastructure, housing, private industry operations, and more. We will learn about implementation projects currently underway and next steps in the County's sustainability program, including the complementary Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Plan.
